Special Sessions

Specialists wishing to organize special sessions should:
1/ Make ready a call for papers using the template available in the following link: smart2015-ss-template 
2/ Submit the call for papers to the Technical Program Committee Chairman: a.masmoudi@ack.edu.kw 
3/ They will be notified by e-mail regarding the suitability of their proposals with the conference topics.
4/ In case of approval, the special session organizer would be authorized to diffuse the call for papers through his personal e-mailing lists. Moreover, the call for papers would be diffused through the conference website in the present page under “Special Sessions Panel” 
The special session organizer will be in charge of the following:
a/ Collecting extended abstracts,
b/ Reviewing the collected abstracts by at least two reviewers,
c/ Sending the accepted abstracts to the Technical Program Committee Chairman: a.masmoudi@ack.edu.kw 
d/ Sending notifications of rejection to abstracts which do not fulfill the required scientific level.
Following the submission to the website of the abstracts received from the special session organizer, the Technical Program Committee Chairman will send notifications of provisional acceptance to the corresponding authors. 
Following the submission of the full papers by the corresponding authors, the special session organizer will be involved in their review.
The decision of the final acceptance is taken by the Technical Program Committee Chairman in collaboration with the special session organizer.
During the conference, the organizer will chair his special session and will select the co-chair. They will be able to nominate papers for resubmission to special issues of journals.
The special session organizer benefits are:
i/ a free registration fees if the total amount of the collected registration fees of the special session would reach US$ 2000. It should be noted that:
- A special session is usually scheduled as an oral session with six presentations. 
- The registration fees rates are:
Participants from universities:
-US$ 200: students
-US$ 400: teaching and/or research staff
Participants from industries: US$ 600
- If the minimum required amount of US$ 2000 would be reached following the registration of five papers, the sixth one would be offered to the special session organizer as a free registered paper.
ii/ a free registration fees and a free paper published in the conference CD-ROM if the total amount of the collected registration fees of the special session would reach US$ 4000. In this case, the special session will be split into two parts separated by a coffee break. Six presentations are scheduled in each part. In case the minimum required amount of US$ 4000 would be reached following the registration of ten papers, the two remaining ones would be offered to the special session organizer as free registered papers.
